Beloved Husband, Father, PopPop, and Uncle passed away unexpectedly at the blessed age of 96 on July 14th due to an accidental fall.

Born May 15, 1926, in Middletown son of the late Marion (Phillips) and Sidney C. Myers. He retired as Western Regional Supervisor of Electric Meter testing for Orange & Rockland after 40 years of service.

Our Lady of Mt Carmel National Shrine where he was a choir member until the age of 92.

Bill married Bobbi October 20, 1962 at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church and would have celebrated 60 years of marriage.

Bill and Bobbi continued their friendship with the Carmelites as neighbors and friends supporting and celebrating many occasions with them throughout the years to the present day.

Bill leaves behind to remember and celebrate his love for storytelling whether it was about his Army Air Corps memories, sports (Lifelong fan of the Yankees, Green Bay Packers, NY Rangers), the way Middletown was “way back when” or recalling events of the greatest generation.

He will be remembered for his love of family, country and faith. Left to cherish those memories are his loving wife Bobbi, daughters Margo Armstrong and husband Brett of West Suffield, Connecticut and Michelle (Shellie) and husband Peter of Higganum, Connecticut. Grandchildren Brandon & Connor Armstrong and Meghan Marae Brown.

He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Betty, brothers Charles, Jack, Russell and Steve, several nieces and nephews throughout the states.

With pride & honor Bill served his country in the United States Army Air Corps as aerial engineer on B24s.

As a WWII veteran he had the privilege of being on the Hudson Valley Honor Flight Mission 11 in 2016. Bill was also active in the community as a member of several organizations: BPOE Elks, Knights of Columbus No. 486 (Past Grand Knight, District Deputy) and most proud of his volunteer service in the McQuoids Fire Department serving as trustee and as oldest past Captain.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 PM on Tuesday, July 19th at Applebee McPhillips,130 Highland Ave, Middletown, NY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Shrine of Our Lady of Mt Carmel at 10:00 AM with The Very Reverend Mario Esposito O’Carm. officiating. Military Honors will be at conclusion of Mass. Burial will take place at Orange County Veterans’ Cemetery, 111 Craigville Rd, Goshen, NY.
